Here is a picture of Father Christmas congratulating the winning team in our Christmas Quiz, held at our recent Christmas Social. Members also enjoyed a performance by the Gresford Handbell Ringers, who managed to get us singing carols with their skilled accompaniment.
Object of the Week
Last week's Object is a Grundig reel-to-reel tape recorder, from the days when recording enthusiasts would capture hours and hours of radio programmes. It comes complete with its microphone, seen here on the left of the picture.
Object of the Week
Our Object this week is a recently donated gas lamp which we've put up in the Music and Arts Room – there is no gas supply to go with it! This kind of lamp dates back to the days when gas was the main form of illumination in the home.
Christmas Evening
Just a reminder of an upcoming seasonal event – we plan to be there!

Our Objects of the Week are an assortment of spanners and other tools, donated by Garry Williams.
Object of the Week
Our Object last week was a Certificate presented to Gunner E G Carden by the inhabitants of Cefn Mawr and District, expressing their appreciation for his wartime service
Saturday Openings
Our Saturday openings, which take place on the second Saturday of the month, will be suspended for the winter months of December, January and February, and will be resumed in March 2018.
Object of the Week
Our Object of the Week is a ceremonial trowel given to a Miss Jones to mark her laying of a Memorial Stone for Ebenezer Chapel in 1899.
Object of the Week
Our Objects of the Week are two safety leaflets. The Monsanto one we've had for a while, but the Flexsys leaflet has only just been given to us. Both of them describe possible disasters to the area through explosions or chemical leakage, which makes you realise what risks the community in Cefn Mawr and District had to run for many decades.
Object of the Week
Our Object this week is a miner's pick axe, unusual in that it has its owner's name on it. It is one item in a small collection of mining memorabilia in the Museum.
